Mirro can help you increase organizational alignment by defining clear objectives and key results.
When the visibility of an OKR is set to protected, the rest of the team will not be able to align to the same purpose. That being said, keep in mind to choose this option only when you would like the objective to be visible to you, and/or the person who is contributing to the OKR.
To create a private objective, first, you will have to access the module Admin Area- Company Settings option.
Make sure that you have the proper access rights in the application, such as App Settings Management access right, to activate the feature. Contact your HR colleagues to activate the option if it is not active.

On the page called General Settings, you will find the possibility to activate or deactivate Protected visibility OKRs. To enable this option, you will have to click on Yes.

To add a new objective, you will have to go to the module Objective and access the option Add Objective, available in any section of the module.
A new form will be opened for you and you will need to fill in the details of the objective that you would like to add.
Imagine you would like to add a company objective to ensure an efficient level of high communication within the company. In this regard you will need to fill in the fields accordingly:
- Title: A short concise title to state the objective
- Description: A short description of the objective
- Type: Objective’s type, which can be individual, team, department, or company
- Owner: The person who owns the objective. By default, your user will be assigned, but you have the possibility to change it
- Deadline: The deadline of the objective, the moment when you consider you will reach your goal
- Visibility: Use private OKRs to keep things for your eyes only
Keep in mind that once you add a user as a contributor to your objective, it will be visible to them as well.
Once the objective was defined, you will need to add the key results. In the article How to add and define the details of an objective, you can find more details about adding KR. The same principles apply to both public and private key results.
Worry not, the key results will be private as well if the objective was set as private.
